Replace the Alternator Belt on Opel Meriva

Model: Vauxhall Meriva Meriva A, MK 1 - Years 2003-2010

Prepare to replace the alternator belt on the Opel Meriva: lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Once these steps are completed, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the alternator tensioner until the correct belt tension is achieved (as previously fitted). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket spanner.
