Now we need to separate the touchscreen glass, which is glued to the LCD display: use a heat gun to soften the underlying glue, allowing you to lift the screen; be very careful not to break anything. Remove any traces of glue from the display surface and the frame, then apply a moderate amount of gel glue along the edge of the frame. Position the new touchscreen accurately, pressing evenly to make it adhere. Reassemble the instrument panel in its place, screwing in the 7mm screws, reconnect the connectors, reposition the outer frame, making sure all the clips snap into place. It is a job that requires patience and delicacy.
