How to Add Oil to the Engine of the Opel Karl

To add oil to the engine of the Opel Karl, first open the bonnet of the engine compartment (after parking the car on a completely level surface and leaving the engine off for at least ten minutes to avoid hot oil splashing out when opening the oil filler). Also, ensure to roll up or move any clothing away from the cooling fan as it may operate even when the engine is off. The dipstick is located near the engine and the knob can be identified by its light colour. Partially remove the dipstick from its tube after checking the oil level. Locate the oil filler hole, open it, and position a funnel. Pour the oil slowly, stopping approximately every quarter of a litre to allow it to settle in the engine. Stop when the oil level, indicated by the dipstick, reaches the maximum. Adding too much oil can be harmful to the engine. Reinsert the dipstick and close the oil filler cap.
