How to activate the windshield wiper service mode of an Opel Grandland-X

Let's see how to activate the service mode of the wipers on the Opel Grandland-X: this function moves the wiper blades to a raised and locked position on the windshield, allowing them to be easily lifted to replace worn blades; clean the windshield; free the blades from ice in winter. Sit inside with the engine off, press the start button twice in a row, without pressing the brake, to turn on the instrument panel, then immediately press the wiper button as for a single pass, and hold it down for 2/3 seconds. The blades will lift and position themselves vertically, entering service mode. To deactivate this option, operate the wipers normally, and they will return to their normal position.
