How to Dehumidify the Windscreen of the Opel Astra

If the windscreen of your Opel Astra is misting up, the most effective solution is to use the air conditioning as a "dehumidifier". Start the engine and immediately set the demisting function directed at the windscreen, then set the fan to a medium-high level. Keep the temperature at a comfortable and stable value (approximately between 22°C and 24°C, as a practical setting) and ensure the air recirculation is off, allowing drier outside air to enter and expel humidity. If available, also activate the A/C: even in winter, it helps remove moisture from the air and speeds up the clearing of condensation. Before driving, check that visibility has improved; if misting continues to occur frequently on the Opel Astra, check for wet mats or leaks and consider replacing the cabin filter if it is very dirty, as this can worsen air circulation and increase internal humidity.
