Let's see the meaning of "code 59" on the Opel/Vauxhall Adam: the vehicle's system has detected that the battery has an insufficient charge level, which appears because the battery is weak, old, or hasn't been charged enough, for example, after many short trips.

It is not a permanent fault, and it is a warning that can disappear after a long enough journey to allow the alternator to recharge the battery; however, if it reappears frequently, it means that the battery is at the end of its useful life or there is a problem with the alternator.

The video shows a simple and immediate method to make the warning disappear from the dashboard: Lower the driver's side window using the driver's door switch; then raise it. When it returns to the closed position, code 59 disappears from the display.

However, code 59 can also indicate a problem with the TPMS, but only if accompanied by the yellow tire warning light.
