What to do if the Opel Meriva shows code 82.

Let's see how we should behave if our Opel Meriva (but also Corsa and Astra) displays error code 82 on the dashboard. In reality, this is not an error code but a reminder for scheduled maintenance, indicating that the oil counter has reached 0% and it's time to perform the service (oil and filter change) according to the intervals calculated by the car. So, it is not a mechanical failure but just a service notification. After performing the service, we can reset this error ourselves by turning on the ignition and using the "menu" button on the steering wheel control on the left side. We scroll through the screens looking for the one that shows the oil life percentage. We press and hold the "ok" button for about 5 to 10 seconds, and we will hear a beep and see the percentage return to 100%.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
