A defect in the braking system of the Opel Mokka 1st series 1.7 CDTi.
Model: Vauxhall Mokka
Mokka A
- Years 2012-2019
The first series Opel Mokka has had some problems with the braking system, especially in the 1.7 TDCi engines with the engine code A17DTS; in fact, many owners have reported unusual wear of the brake pads, particularly in the versions with automatic transmission. The cause was an undersized braking system relative to the weight of the car, or with suboptimal quality materials. Additionally, strange noises were often heard during braking, due to ovalized brake discs or low-quality brake pads. In a couple of cases, there were also recalls by Opel: in 2016 for a defect in the emergency brake, while some models built between 2012 and 2014 were recalled for checks on the rear brakes. The advice is to check the discs and pads regularly and to replace worn parts with quality materials.

Reset Service Light on Ligier X TOO
This brief video covers the resetting of the service/maintenance light. Open the driver's door fully. Position the ignition key to the second stage (this does not mean starting the engine, just turning on the dashboard). At this point, simply press the button (see video) and hold it down. The dashboard will turn off, and the button should be pressed until the speedometer lights up again. When the dashboard is back on, the service light will be off. Of course, turning off the service light does not mean you are exempt from performing maintenance on the vehicle. by ScegliAuto More videos
