How to Reset the Service Light on an Opel Meriva/Zafira A

Model: Vauxhall Meriva Meriva A, MK 1 - Years 2003-2010

The procedure to reset the service light is the same for both Opel Meriva A and Opel Zafira A: sit in the driver's seat and turn the key in the ignition to the first position; press the brake pedal firmly while holding down the button on the dashboard for the trip odometer. At the same time, turn the key to ON to power the dashboard: the display will show "insp" (inspection). Continue holding until the message changes to a series of dashes "----" or disappears. Release everything; turn off and back on to verify. If "oil" appears instead of "insp", the procedure is identical but only resets the oil change.
