To change the LPG filter on an Opel Corsa E, it is essential to close the LPG valve on the tank and let the gas in the circuit run out by leaving the car running until it switches to petrol. Then, remove the air filter and intake duct to access the LPG filter, which is located in the engine bay near the pressure reducer.

The filter is an aluminium cylinder: cut the metal clamp on the inlet pipe and loosen the clamp on the opposite side with pliers. Remove the old filter.

Take the new one (available on eBay with code 392108726964 for £24.80, with free delivery) and locate the arrow printed on the body: it indicates the direction of the gas flow. Insert it in the same direction as the old one. Secure both sides with new clamps.

Reopen the tank valve and check for leaks with soapy water or specific spray on all connections. Safety: LPG is highly flammable; do not smoke, avoid open flames, and work in a well-ventilated area.
