Replacing the Timing Belt and Water Pump on an Opel Astra

Replace the timing belt and water pump on an Opel Astra. Lift the car on a column lift; remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner. After completing these steps, remove the cover panel for the timing belt (remove the sensor if present). Using a suitable spanner, loosen the second tensioner and slide the belt off, then remove the water pump. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to install the tensioner, adjusting until the belt has the correct tension (fit both belts). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, tightening everything with a socket wrench.
