How to Replace the Front Bearing on an Opel Astra

Replacing the damaged bearing on an Opel Astra, here’s how to proceed. Lift the car with a jack, unscrew the nuts and remove the wheel, then start unscrewing the bolts of the caliper bracket and detach it. Unscrew the bolts of the brake disc and detach it from the wheel hub, then, using a screwdriver, pry off the central hub cap. Loosen the large bolt with a socket wrench and remove the piece. Disassemble the wheel hub from the car with the upper pin and pull out the bearing. Fit the bearing onto the wheel hub and reassemble it with all the other parts in reverse order. Use a matching piece of the same size.
