Replacing Battery in Corsa D 1.3 CDTi

Before purchasing a new battery, check that the amperage matches the original battery (45Ah, 50Ah, 72Ah, etc.), as well as the dimensions. The example shows a 72Ah battery. Required tools: 10mm spanner and 13mm socket or ratchet, medium-grit sandpaper, contact grease. Turn off the vehicle, remove the ignition key, engage the handbrake, and open the bonnet. Position yourself in front of the open engine bay. The battery is located in the top right corner of the engine bay. Disconnect the two battery terminals using the 10mm spanner, starting with the negative terminal (left side) and then disconnecting the positive terminal (right side). To remove the battery, you need to take off the plastic cover that secures it. Use the spanner to gently lever the two plastic tabs on the left side and lift the cover. With the 13mm socket, completely loosen the clamp at the base of the battery on the left side and remove it, being careful not to drop it inside the engine bay. Carefully extract the battery. Clean the inside of the terminals with sandpaper. Remove the plastic covers from the new battery and apply a small amount of contact grease. Position the new battery in the housing, ensuring the terminals are oriented correctly (negative on the left and positive on the right). Refit the clamp on the left side of the battery and tighten it securely with the 13mm socket. Refit the plastic cover by simply pressing it back into place. Connect the positive terminal and tighten the clamp with the 10mm spanner. Repeat the process for the negative terminal.
