Cleaning the Engine Injection System

Maintaining the injectors improves fuel atomisation, resulting in many benefits: better performance, reduced consumption, and lower emissions. There are two methods to achieve cleaning; the simplest involves purchasing a specific spray can. Remove the hose that directs air from the filter to the engine, start the engine, and spray the product directly into the intake manifold in short bursts. The second, more effective method involves applying a specific vaporiser to the intake pipe, connecting a hose from the container holding the cleaning liquid to the vaporiser, then starting the engine and applying a slight acceleration. Due to the suction, the vaporiser draws in the cleaning liquid and vaporises it within the intake system. Reconnect the hose and check the exhaust.
