Replacing the Lambda Sensor on an Opel Zafira

Model: Vauxhall Zafira Zafira B, A05, MK 2 - Years 2005-2011

Replacing the lambda sensor is a relatively simple task. It should be done in case of irregular operation or every 100,000-150,000 miles, depending on your model. Note: newer models have TWO lambda sensors, with only one located at the front of the engine as shown in the video. The second is located lower down on the exhaust pipe, and to access it, you need to raise the vehicle on a workshop lift. In any case, the replacement procedure is the same. You will need: a socket wrench and a cylindrical adapter for the lambda sensor of the appropriate size (universal kits with two or three adapters to remove any sensor regardless of the model are available commercially). Steps: place the adapter on the sensor, disconnect the cable leading to the electronic control unit, and use the socket wrench to unscrew the sensor counterclockwise. For fitting the new sensor, follow the steps in reverse order. If everything has been done correctly, the vehicle will not show error codes on the instrument panel.
