Replacing the EGR valve on an Opel Astra? Remove the valve, clean it or replace it. Lift the bonnet and secure it. Remove the engine cover panel. Start by unscrewing the securing bolts of the EGR valve as shown in the video. Once the part is removed from its seat, unscrew the screws on it with a screwdriver. Clean the valve using a suitable product for cleaning mechanical parts. Once the part is renewed, reassemble the components together. Finally, refit the EGR valve in the engine bay after cleaning it of any dirt and deposits. Replace the valve if it is damaged.
