Opel Astra Replace the Air Conditioning Compressor

Replace the air conditioning compressor? Here's how to do it. Lift the bonnet and secure it, then remove the engine soundproofing panel. Start by unscrewing the fastening pins of the bumper to access the compressor (this step is necessary if there is not enough space to remove the part). Once free from screws and pipes, unscrew the compressor pins at the base of the engine bay and remove the belt. Compare the compressor to be replaced with the new one and check its proper functioning. Prepare to fit the part in the engine bay, connect the belts, clamps, and tighten securely with a socket spanner. Connect the fan kit with its hoses. Refit all the protections on the compressor and alternator that were removed earlier, including the plastics and the front bumper.
