How to Replace the Diesel Filter on an Opel Meriva

To replace the diesel filter on an Opel Meriva, first lift the car off the ground using a mechanical jack and position a tray directly under the filter to prevent diesel from spilling into the environment. Then, using a flat screwdriver, unscrew the lower cap to remove any remaining residues in the filter. Wait for it to drain completely and re-screw the cap. After that, unscrew the upper cap holding the filter using a 36 mm socket wrench and extract it along with the corresponding seal. Then take the new filter and seal and position them in place, ensuring the cap is securely closed. Finally, remove the tray and lower the car. Once back inside, it is advisable to turn the ignition on and off a couple of times before starting the car to allow the filter to refill and avoid irregular engine starts.
