Replacement of Reverse Light Switch

Reverse lights are very useful for illuminating the area during manoeuvres, as well as alerting any pedestrians behind that the vehicle is reversing. Failure to activate these lights can create dangerous situations. One cause of non-activation may be a burnt-out bulb or a faulty switch located on the gearbox that activates the lights when reverse gear is engaged. To replace it, remove the front wheels and secure the vehicle. Once the faulty component is identified, disconnect the connector and use a spanner to remove the faulty switch, replacing it with a new component. Reconnect the connector and check for proper operation.
