Removing Alternator on Opel Meriva

Model: Vauxhall Meriva MK 2, Meriva B - Years 2010-2017
Part: Alternator

Lift the car with a jack and remove the left rear wheel. Disconnect the battery (both terminals) and remove the 8mm nut from the alternator that secures the blue cable, then using a 13mm spanner, unscrew the positive terminal of the alternator. Unscrew the two bolts of the alternator support with a T12 Torx. Remove the alternator from the car and place it in a vice. If you want to change the brushes, simply open it from the rear by unscrewing the bolts. Unscrew the front freewheel using two spanners, as shown in the video, then remove the large washer and fit it onto the new freewheel. Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
