Timing Belt Replacement

Replacing the timing belt is a delicate operation, advisable only for experienced individuals. Obtain the replacement belt, tensioner wheels, tensioners, the belt installation diagram, and special tools. Begin by removing components that obstruct the work, such as the pipe and air box, then the cover and pump belt. Remove the wheel and position the vehicle on a ramp. Using a spanner and the appropriate tool, lock the pulley and loosen the tensioner. By prying on the tensioner, reduce the tension to remove the belt. Remove the bolts from the two tensioner supports and take them out. Replace the pulleys and tensioners with new parts, ensuring all components are reassembled correctly. Fit the tensioners and new belts following the assembly diagram. Refit the cover and other removed components.
