Replacing Number Plate Light on Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006
Part: License plate light

Open the boot lid and unscrew the two screws that secure the small light unit. Once done, use a plastic wedge to extract the light unit by levering in the side gaps. Now that you have the housing in hand, you can easily remove the bulb from it and insert a new equivalent one. Reassemble the small light unit by reversing the process, first clicking it back into place and then screwing it in. The operation is the same for both light units. As you can see, it is a very simple, quick, and low-cost operation. Good luck!
