Removing Front Brake Discs

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the front wheels; before unscrewing the retaining bolts of the brake caliper, use a screwdriver to pry between the brake pads to retract the piston and facilitate removal (to make the operation easier, you can loosen the bleed screw and connect a tube to collect the fluid). Once the caliper is removed, take out the old pads, then remove the brake caliper bracket, unscrew the retaining bolt of the disc from the hub, and take it off the hub itself (some hammering may be necessary). Proceed in reverse order for the installation of the new disc and new pads.
