How to Fit Brake Pads on an Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra J - Years 2009-2016
Part: Brake pads

How do you replace the brake pads on an Opel Astra? This guide shows the disassembly of the brake components. Remove the wheel to access the brake disc, unscrew the caliper locking bolt, and take the caliper off the wheel hub. Use a screwdriver to remove the brake pads from the caliper, then fit the new pads onto the caliper. Reattach the caliper with the bracket onto the brake disc: tighten all the bolts and refit the wheel. Replace the brake pads on both pairs of brake discs if possible. Test the brakes after the replacement.

How to Bleed the Clutch on a Renault Clio?

To bleed the clutch on a Renault Clio, open the bonnet to access the components located in the engine bay: here, you will need to undo the screws that secure the battery in its housing, the intake manifold, and the coolant reservoir. This will allow you to locate the pipe through which the brake fluid flows: by inserting the other end of the pipe into a container, you can press the clutch pedal to expel all the fluid until it fills the container.
