Replacing the Steering Wheel on an Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra J - Years 2009-2016

First, remove the airbag from the steering wheel. To do this, push the internal levers holding it in place with a small flathead screwdriver through the outer holes (see video). Now, disconnect the two connectors of the airbag using the flathead screwdriver, and remove it. Most of the work is already done! At this point, all that remains is to unscrew the central bolt that secures the steering wheel, and you're done. This is specifically a Torx T50 bolt. Once this is removed, you can take off the steering wheel and proceed in reverse for the installation of a new one.
