How to Replace the Battery in the Key Fob of a Vauxhall Astra J

This guide shows how to replace the battery in the key fob of the secondary key, which has a fixed blade, for the Vauxhall Astra J. You will need a screwdriver or a craft knife and a replacement battery, model CR2032. Using the craft knife, apply pressure and lever in the side slot of the fob, between the two halves. Once released, you can remove one half and see the battery compartment. Remove the battery by levering it out with the tip of the craft knife. After inserting the new battery, close the fob by pushing the half back into position. Check that the fob is functioning correctly.
