Replacing Cylinder Head Bolt Pins

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

When replacing the cylinder head gasket, it is good practice to use a new set of pins for securing it; first, clean the threaded holes with a tap to remove any debris that could compromise the tightening of the pins (be careful not to let any debris fall into the cylinders during this step).
Then, position the new gasket and the cylinder head, applying grease to the bottom of the threads and under the heads of the pins before inserting them into their respective threaded holes; use a torque wrench to tighten them following a cross pattern, then use the graduated wrench.
