Replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

This video shows the replacement of the crankshaft position sensor on an Opel Astra. The operation must be performed by disconnecting the negative battery terminal using a 10 mm socket. Obtain a new sensor as shown in the video. The vehicle must be lifted and secured on a jack; using a 14 mm socket, unscrew the first terminal of the sensor and then, with an 18 mm socket, unscrew the other end. Remove the old sensor and compare it with the new one. Proceed to install it in the same position using the same sockets and bolts as the old sensor just removed.
