Where is the crankshaft position sensor located in the Opel Astra?

In this video we can see where the crankshaft position sensor is located in the Opel Astra and how to proceed in case we need to replace it. As shown, the sensor in question is located in the lower area of the engine, just above the catalytic converter. To access it and subsequently replace it, we first wait for the engine to be completely cold, then we lift the front side of the vehicle and, taking the necessary safety measures, we go underneath it. We then disconnect the indicated connector, unscrew the single fixing bolt with an 8mm wrench and remove the sensor from the housing. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
