How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter on the Opel Zafira Series B

This guide shows how to change the engine oil and filter on the Opel Zafira Series B. The first step is to unscrew the cap of the oil reservoir and the dipstick. From underneath the vehicle, use a Torx T45 screwdriver to unscrew the drain plug of the oil sump. From the engine compartment, use a 24 mm spanner to unscrew the cover of the filter housing, located between the engine and the radiator. Remove the old filter and its gasket and replace them with the new kit. Refit the filter in position. From underneath the vehicle, clean any oil residue and tighten the plug. Fill the reservoir with the appropriate amount of oil and start the engine for a few minutes. Check the fluid level again and top up as necessary.
