In this tutorial, you will see how to replace a driveshaft on an Opel Astra, a very straightforward operation. Before proceeding, lift the car at least on the side where you will be working, taking all necessary safety precautions. Once this is done, remove the wheel, undo the fixing bolt of the lower arm at the hub, and detach the metal band of the gaiter using a flat-head screwdriver. Next, rotate the brake disc outward, grasp the driveshaft, and pull it out from the differential housing. Fit the replacement part by following the reverse procedure and ensure that each bolt is tightened securely.
