How to replace the CV joint boot of the Opel Astra H.

In this video, we see how to replace the CV boot on an Opel Astra H: we lift the car and remove the wheel. We remove the CV joint nut (if it is rusty, we use a penetrating oil); disconnect the suspension arm, and then gently tap the hub with a plastic hammer to remove the CV joint; remove the damaged boot by cutting the metal clamps with a cutting pliers, slide the boot along the CV joint, open the locking ring and remove the CV joint with a firm movement. We can find a pair of boots, for example, on Temu for the price of 3.46 euros (free delivery for purchases over 20.00 euros); we mount it on the CV joint, reassemble the joint until we hear the "click" of the locking ring; fill the joint with new grease, reassemble the CV joint, reconnect the suspension arm, and manually turn the CV joint to check for any abnormal friction.
