Replacement of the Intake Manifold Gasket

The intake manifold gasket consists of two elements: one that must be installed beneath the flange supporting the swirl butterflies and one that goes above, between the same flange and the intake duct. Before proceeding with the installation of the new gaskets, thoroughly clean the respective seats to eliminate any dirt and deposits that could compromise adhesion and therefore the seal, adversely affecting engine performance and fuel consumption; if the surfaces are intact, it is not necessary to apply gasket sealant.
