How to change front brake pads on Opel Astra J
Model: Vauxhall Astra
Astra J
- Years 2009-2016
Let's see how to change the front brake pads on the Opel Astra J: let's start by opening the brake fluid reservoir cap. We remove the front wheels, putting the car on stands, to be sure that the car does not fall on us while we are working on it. Now we have to remove the two bolts highlighted in the video, to remove the caliper from the disc. We place the caliper on the disc and then remove the worn pads. The Brembo pad kit for our Opel Astra J costs 60.83 euros on E-Bay, including delivery. We clean the caliper, then put on the new pads; we can reposition the caliper on the disc and replace the bolts that we had previously removed. We switch to the other wheel and repeat the procedure. Put the wheel back in place and close the brake fluid reservoir cap. Operation finished.
