Place a large, low container under the oil sump in line with the cap, unscrew the cap and let all the oil drain out. Use a spanner to unscrew the oil filter cap, replace the filter, place the new O-ring, and screw everything back in by hand, carefully, into its housing. Finish tightening it with the appropriate spanner, ensuring that the oil has finished draining; carefully screw the sump cap back on. At this point, you can pour in the new oil through the filler neck located above the engine. Check the level with the dipstick.
