How to Replace the Front Brake Pads on an Opel Meriva

In this video tutorial, you can see how to replace the front brake pads on an Opel Meriva: the first thing to do is purchase new, high-quality brake pads from an authorised dealer. Next, lift the front of the vehicle using a jack and place safety stands underneath. Remove the front wheel, then take off the spring using a flat-head screwdriver. Now, remove the protective caps from the pins using the flat-head screwdriver. Use an Allen key to unscrew the pins of the brake caliper. At this point, use the screwdriver to push back the piston, then remove the caliper and support it so it doesn't fall. Remove the old brake pad; take the new pad and insert it with a slight pressure. Now install the outer pad and reposition the brake caliper. Tighten the pins with the Allen key, replace the protective caps, straighten the wheel, and then reattach the spring as shown in the video.
