This guide shows how to replace the front brake pads on an Opel Meriva A. The first step is to open the brake fluid reservoir and remove the front wheels using a 17 mm spanner. Once the vehicle is lifted, completely unscrew the wheel bolts and remove them. Use a lever to release the safety spring, and with a 7 mm hex key, unscrew the two bolts securing the brake caliper and remove it. Take out the old brake pads and clean the area. Lubricate the sliding surfaces of the new brake components, install them in position, and push the piston fully back. Refit the brake caliper and the wheels.
