Replacing the alternator belt on an Opel Astra is a very simple and quick task. You will need a 19 mm spanner, a Torx T25 screwdriver, and possibly a tool for removing inserts. Start by raising the front right side of the vehicle, then remove the wheel and take off both the lower cover and the inner wheel arch. Next, grasp the tensioner bolt with the spanner and turn it counterclockwise to release the belt. You can then fit the replacement belt.
