How to Replace the Timing Belt on an Opel Astra

To replace the timing belt on an Opel Astra, open the bonnet to access the components in the engine bay. Loosen the screws securing the upper engine cover, the air filter box, and the left side panel of the engine block. Underneath, locate the timing belt, and reduce its tension by loosening the tensioner pulley. At this point, you can fit the new timing belt around the pulleys, reinstall the tensioner, and check that everything functions correctly.
