Replacing the timing belt on a 2014 Opel Insignia is a task you can do yourself, thanks to our short video tutorial that outlines the steps to follow. The first step is to open the front bonnet and remove the right wheel, as well as the engine cover and air intake hose.

The second step is to loosen the timing belt using a Torx key and then remove it by taking off the pulley nuts. Each time you perform a removal action, clean with WD40 spray to facilitate reinstallation.

The third step is to fit a new timing belt and tighten the pulley nuts to put it back under tension. The fourth step is to reattach the engine cover, air intake hose, and finally the right wheel.
