How to Change the Rear Brake Pads on an Opel Astra SW

Changing the rear brake pads can easily be done as a DIY task and does not require any special tools, just common workshop tools. First, lift the vehicle and remove the rear wheel. Before removing the brake caliper, lever between the old pad and the disc to fully retract the piston. Then, unscrew the caliper fixing pins, remove it from the support, take out the old pads, and insert the new ones. Finally, reposition the caliper, tighten the fixing pins, and remount the wheel.
