Changing the engine oil and filter is typical DIY maintenance, ensuring you dispose of the waste properly. Essentially, you need to unscrew the drain plug under the oil sump and drain the used oil, then reapply the plug with a new washer.

Next, access the engine bay and locate the filter cartridge seat, which is at the top right when facing the engine. Unscrew the cap to remove the cartridge and insert the new one, applying new O-ring seals coated with oil. Finally, fill the engine with new oil until the maximum level is reached.
