Replacing the engine oil is a typical DIY maintenance task, but you may encounter a difficulty: the key needed to remove the cap is a special key, square-shaped, or worse, the key slot may have been damaged previously, commonly referred to as being stripped; you must therefore devise a way to remove the cap: a simple and effective solution is to file the cap on two parallel sides, creating a flat surface to either insert a key or grip with a mole grip; once the damaged cap is removed, you will need to install a new one along with the corresponding sealing washer.
