How to replace the rear brake light bulb on an Opel Zafira

To replace the brake light bulb in the right rear lamp, start by opening the boot. Remove the caps covering the screws using a flathead screwdriver, then unscrew the two screws holding the lamp with a crosshead screwdriver.

Apply slight pressure from the outer side of the lamp towards the rear to release it from its housing; on the back of the lamp, you will find 3 bulb holders that need to be unscrewed half a turn to remove them from the lamp unit. Identify the brake light holder (the one corresponding to the extended part of the lamp), unscrew it half a turn and pull it out. Take the bulb, press it and turn it counterclockwise to remove it (it wasn't in the video).

After removing the old bulb, take the new bulb, place it in the holder, press it, and turn it clockwise to secure it in place. Insert the holder back into its housing and screw it in half a turn.

Reposition the lamp in its housing, re-screw the two crosshead screws, and replace the caps covering the screws. Finally, go inside the car, press the brake pedal, and check the correct functioning of the bulb.
