How to reset error code 89 on an Opel vehicle?

Error code 89, whether on an Opel or Chevrolet vehicle, indicates a generic error. The message that may appear alongside the code is "seek assistance immediately". To reset the "error 89" code on an Opel vehicle, first, turn on the instrument cluster.

Then, press the MENU button located on the left stalk of the steering wheel. Once in the menu, select the mileage and press the SET button, also located on the left stalk.

After completing the reset of the error code, switch off and then switch on the instrument cluster to finish all steps.
