How to change the battery on the Peugeot 2008 Diesel

This article explains how to replace the battery on the Peugeot 2008. You will need a 10 mm socket wrench for this operation. First, disconnect the positive terminal of the battery, then remove the fixing bolt of the negative terminal using the 10 mm socket.

Once the negative terminal is disconnected, remove the cover of the computer next to the battery, then disconnect the 3 connectors. After disconnecting the connectors, remove the fixing bolts of the engine control unit, again using the 10 mm socket.

Now, pry on the 2 plastic clips to remove it; once removed, you will have access to the battery fixing bolt. Remove it, and you can then take out the battery for replacement.

Once replaced, reassemble all components previously removed.
