How to solve the problem causing the ASR and ESP warning lights to come on in the Peugeot 508?

If the malfunction message of the ASR and ESP systems, respectively the electronic traction control and the electronic stability control system, appears in the instrument panel of our Peugeot 508, it is very likely that the two corresponding fuses are faulty. They are located in the box inside the engine compartment, next to the negative terminal of the battery. The two indicated fuses are 20A and 5A. Before replacing them, make sure the key is not inserted and the area is free of dirt, which can be cleaned with a simple contact cleaner. Once replaced, start the vehicle and check if the warning message has disappeared.
