How to change the front brake pads of the Peugeot 208

In this video, we will see how to change the front brake pads of the Peugeot 208: we open the hood and remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir, then lift the car and remove the front wheels; we turn the disc outwards, then insert a flat screwdriver into the slot at the front of the caliper and pull towards us to remove it. This will retract the piston all the way. Using a 13mm socket wrench, we loosen the two bolts of the caliper bracket and then finish unscrewing by hand. We remove the calipers and secure them on one of the springs of the shock absorber, then remove the pads, and clean the support with a wire brush; it is the right time to replace the anti-noise shims. We grease the outer part of the new pads with copper grease, then place them in position, and reassemble the caliper, mounting the new bolt treated with threadlocker and tightening it to 35 Nm. We repeat on the other side, then reassemble the wheels and lower the car. Close the cap of the brake fluid reservoir and the hood.
