How to change the brake pads of the Peugeot 208

To change the brake pads of the Peugeot 208, first we need to open the hood and unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir, to release the pressure; loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car and place it on two jack stands for safety, then remove the front wheels. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the caliper hole, lever to push the piston back, and with a 13mm socket wrench remove the caliper bolts, which we will attach with a wire to the shock absorber coil. Remove the used pads, sliding them to the side; clean the seat with a wire brush and brake cleaner to remove rust and residue; then replace the anti-squeal shims. Apply copper grease to the pad supports and insert them into the caliper; reassemble it in place by tightening the bolts to 35 Nm. Repeat on the other side, reassemble the wheels, lower the car and pump the brake several times (with the engine off) to restore pressure.
