How to adjust the handbrake of a Peugeot Expert

In this video, we see how to adjust the handbrake of a Peugeot Expert, which uses an automatic locking mechanism under the handbrake lever: no special tools are needed for this adjustment. Lift the cover under the handbrake and you will find the cable adjuster with two aligned plastic tabs. Rotate the mechanism counterclockwise (towards the "unlock" symbol) and the cable will be free. If the brake is too loose, pull it; if it is too tight, release it. Now rotate it clockwise, towards the "lock" symbol, and the cable will be locked again. Pull the lever: the rear wheels should lock in 3/4 clicks at most. If the brake does not hold even after adjustment, check the rear discs and pads, which may be worn out.
